Shed Demolition
Most sheds come apart cleanly with careful, panel-by-panel dismantling — but a shed that's badly damaged, leaning dangerously, or already partly collapsed sometimes needs a faster, more direct demolition approach instead. We assess this from your photos before quoting, so you get the right method (and the right price) for the condition it's actually in, not a one-size-fits-all job.
Quick answer
Shed Demolition typically starts from £90 — priced the same as a standard shed removal in most cases — see the full price guide for details. We confirm a fixed price from a couple of photos before booking a date.
What demolition involves
The decision between dismantling and demolition comes down to whether a panel can still be safely unbolted and lifted clear without the risk of it giving way. A shed that's rotted through at the base, leaning off its foundation, or already missing sections usually can't be taken apart cleanly, so the safer approach is to break it down in place rather than attempt to lift out full panels. It's not a lesser job — the same care is taken around fences, borders and neighbouring structures, and materials are still sorted for recycling wherever the damage allows.
Shed demolition and shed removal are really two names for the same outcome — a cleared garden — just reached by a different method depending on the condition of the building. Where a sound structure suits careful shed dismantling, a dangerous or collapsed one is safer taken down directly. Either way the debris doesn't linger: everything is loaded, hauled away and handled through our shed disposal process, with a rotten or collapsed shed often falling under the same fixed price as a standard removal because damaged timber is quicker to break down.
What's included in every demolition job
- ✓For sheds too damaged, unstable or dangerous to dismantle panel-by-panel
- ✓Structure broken down safely on site rather than lifted away intact
- ✓Same fixed-price, single-visit approach as a standard removal
- ✓Materials still sorted for recycling where the damage allows
When you might need demolition
The most common situations we're called out for — if yours isn't listed, send a couple of photos through the contact form and we'll tell you exactly how we'd handle it.
Storm or accident damage
A shed hit by a fallen tree, high winds or an impact that’s left it unstable and unsafe to enter or dismantle normally.
Long-neglected structures
Sheds that have been left to rot for years and are now leaning, sagging or partially down and can’t be taken apart panel by panel.
Insurance or safety clearances
When a landlord, insurer or the property itself needs an unsafe outbuilding removed quickly and documented.
How It Works
- 1
Send photos & get a fixed price
A couple of photos of the shed (and base, if relevant) is usually enough for an accurate, no-obligation quote — no waiting around for a salesperson visit on straightforward jobs.
- 2
Pick a date that suits you
We'll offer the next available slots for your area — often within a week — and confirm a time window, not just a vague 'sometime on Tuesday'.
- 3
We dismantle & remove on site
The shed is taken apart panel by panel, loaded straight into the van, and the area is left swept and tidy — usually within 1–3 hours depending on size.
- 4
Responsible recycling & disposal
Timber, felt and metal fixings are separated where possible and taken to a licensed facility, with a waste transfer note available if you need one.

Shed materials we remove
Timber sheds
The most common type — dismantled panel by panel and sorted for recycling where the wood is in good enough condition.
Metal & steel sheds
Panels unbolted and separated out for scrap-metal recycling — usually quicker to take apart than an equivalent timber shed.
Plastic & resin sheds
Lightweight panels removed by hand and kept separate from other waste so they can be recycled cleanly.
Concrete & sectional sheds
Heavier panels that need careful handling and sometimes breaking down on site — we usually confirm the approach from photos before quoting.
Often booked alongside demolition
Most shed jobs combine a few of these into a single visit and a single fixed price — for example shed dismantling, rotten & collapsed shed removal and shed disposal.

Demolition — frequently asked questions
Can you remove a shed that's partly collapsed or rotten?
Absolutely — a rotten, leaning or partially collapsed shed is often easier for us to break down, not harder. It's actually one of the most common jobs we get called out for.
Do you remove sheds with an asbestos roof?
Standard felt or timber-roofed sheds, yes. Older asbestos-cement roof sheets need a licensed asbestos removal specialist rather than a general waste team — tell us at quote stage and we'll point you the right way if that's the case.
Is there a charge just for a quote?
No. Quotes from a couple of photos over email or WhatsApp are free, and an in-person site visit for larger or unusual jobs is also free with no obligation to book.
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry public liability insurance for all removal and dismantling work, and we're a registered waste carrier for the disposal side.
Under UK waste law, any business that regularly removes and transports waste from a customer’s property must be a registered waste carrier and provide a waste transfer note for each load. GOV.UK — Dispose of business or commercial waste
